Village Fish Curry
HI guys!!!! I know I am posting after a pretty long time. I was quiet busy these days and could not post. But I have been reserving recipes for you guys.. Don't worry!! I am going to post regularly from now onwards... This recipe is on my draft for a pretty long time. This fish curry is a staple basic one and you can completely rely on it. This is a fail proof recipe. I make this often because it doesn't need too much ingredients and also no fuzz recipe. i am sure you guys will also love it. Here goes the recipe....

Ingredients
Fish- any white fleshed fish cleaned and cubed
Coconut- 1/2 cup grated
Red chilli powder- 2 tbspn
Corriander powder- 1 tbspn
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Tamarind/ Kudampoli- 1 pod soaked in 1/4 cup of water
Water- 1 cup
For tempering
Coconut oil- 2 tbspn
Shallots- 3 tbspn chopped
Green chilli- 1 no
Curry leaves- 1 spring
Method
1. Take tamarind in a bowl. Pour in water and set aside
2. In a pan, add grated coconut and spice powders and saute till it turns golden and gets a nice aroma
3. Once cooled, move it to a blender. Add in a splash of water and grind to a smooth paste
4. Take fish pieces in the same pan and add the masala paste and required water
5. Add in salt and cover and cook for 30 minutes in low flame
6. Add in tamarind pulp and boil for a minute
7. Heat oil in a pan and add shallots, chilli and curry leaves. Cook till golden.
8. Pour it over the curry and mix it up gently
9. Serve hot
Now towards step wise illustrations
Soak tamarind in water
Add grated coconut in a pan
Cook till it turns golden
Add water and grind to a smooth paste
Clean and cube fish pieces
Take it in a pan
Add in the masala paste
Add in required water and mix gently
Cover and cook
It is now well cooked
Add in tamarind pulp and boil for a minute
Heat oil in a pan
Add in shallots
Add in green chilli and curry leaves
Pour it over the curry
Mix gently.... Done!!!!!!!!!!
