Pressure cooker vegetable biriyani




Yes.... Here it is... When we were at hostel, the friendship,sharing,outing... Everything was toooo nice.. except the food... Food poisoning was part of our routine.. Once we planned to boycott hostel food and go for outside food. We ate at nearby restaurants and it was good. One day we bought an induction cooker and planned to make food at room itself.. We gathered all things and we 7 started cooking........ This recipe which I share with you now is our only recipe once in a week except of tea and toast... It is simple to make with simple ingredients. Now I am posting an updated version of our hostel biriyani with bit more spices....

Ingredients

Basmati rice- 2 cups
Beans- 1 cup
Carrot- 1 cup
Onion- 1 cup
Green chillies- 2 slit
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Salt- as per taste
Water- 2 cups
Milk- 1 cup
Cashews,Raisins- 1 tbsp
Ghee- 2 tbspn
Cardamom, cloves, cinamon- 1 tsp

Here we go..

1. Soak rice for 30 minutes..



2. Heat a pressure cooker and add in ghee..

3. Add in spices

4. Add in veggies

5.Add in ginger garlic paste

6. Add in green chillies and garam masala.



7. Add in soaked rice

8. Add in milk and give a good mix



9. Add in water

10. Cook for 2 whistles..



11. Heat a pan with ghee and fry cashews,raisins and onions..



12. Mix this well with rice
