Stuffed. Carrot Paratha


Yesterday I was feeling really very lazy and I don't have to worry about lunch/dinner since I was alone at home. I ought to make chapathis but making curry was quite tedious. So I thought of making roti with carrot stuffing. It was all an attempt, but it turned out just too good...You will also love it for sure.. Here goes the recipe...

Ingredients
For dough:-
Wheat flour- 1 cup
Salt- as per taste
Oil- 1 tsp
Water- 1/4 cup

For stuffing:-
Carrot- 1 cup grated
Chilli powder- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Salt- as per taste
Cumin/ Jeera seeds- 1 tsp
Oil- 1 tsp+ for frying paratha

Let's go
1. Take flour, salt and water and knead to a soft dough. Drizzle oil and let it rest for 30 minutes
2. Heat oil in a pan and sparkle cumin seeds
3. Add chilli powder and turmeric powder. Saute for a minute
4. Add in grated carrot and saute till water content in carrot is all absorbed
5. Season with salt and garam masala
6. Roll it and spoon some filling in
7. Make ball again and spread it carefully
8. Heat a tawa and place paratha
9. Drizzle oil and cook both sides
10. Serve hot

Now towards step wise illustrations

Take wheat flour and salt. Mix well 

Add in water 

Knead to a soft dough 

Drizzle oil and rest for 30 minutes

Dough done...

Heat oil in a pan and splatter cumin seeds 

Add in turmeric powder 

Add in chilli powder 

Saute for a minute 

Add in grated carrot 

Saute well 

Season with salt 

Add in garam masala  

Saute well  

Make small ball out of it and flatten lightly 

Spoon some filling in 

Roll it back again 

Spread it out carefully 

Heat a tawa and place the paratha 

One side is cooked, drizzle oil and cook both sides 

 Enjoy hot yummy paratha
