Chicken Ghee Roast




Credits to Facebook! I have came cross a small video depicting how to prepare Ghee Mutton Roast. Since then was longing to try this out.I have  chicken in my hand and I just wanted to try this recipe substituting mutton with chicken. It turned out too good and mouth watering. I served this hot with chapathi and the curry was a total hit.Just try it... it is easy to make......Now here I go sharing with you this wonderful recipe....

Ingredients

Chicken- 500g
Ghee- 6 tbspn
Kashmiri Chillies- 5 nos
Black Pepper Corns- 10  nos
Cumin Seeds/ Jeerakam- 2 tsp
Corriander Seeds-  1 tbspn
Red Chilli Powder- 1 tbspn
Turmeric Powder- 1 tsp
Cloves-3 nos
Garlic- 5 nos
Yogurt/ thick curd- 1/3 cup
Sugar- 1 tsp
Salt- to taste 
Water- 1/2 cup

1. Marinate chicken with red chilli powder, turmeric and salt


2. Cook it well..(I used pressure cooker)


3.Dry roast red chillies

4. Add ghee in a pan.Add in corriander seeds, cumin seeds,pepper corns, cloves and garlic and saute and puree it. Don't fry it.



6.In a pan, add ghee and roast the masala.  Add in yogurt too


7. Add in cooked chicken pieces and mix well. Add  salt if necessary.

8. Cover and cook.This helps masala to get coat well on chicken pieces.


9.Add in a little sugar to balance the taste.


10. Roast.... Roast.... Roast it in a low flame!!!!



11. Serve and enjoy hot.......
