Easy veg pulav



Do you love pulav? Then take it! This is the most simplest version of making it.. I will share more pulav and biriyani recipes soon. Let this be the beginner.. I have come across this recipe in a magazine and immediately tried it. It was too good with little spice n a gud amount of flavour in it..

Ingredients

Basmati rice- 2 cups
Beans- 1 cup
Carrot- 1 cup
Onion- 1 small
Cinnamon- a small stick
Cardamom- 2 nos
Fennel/ perum jeera seeds- 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Salt- as needed
Ghee- 1 tbsp
Water- 4 cups

Let's begin..

1. Soak rice for 30 minutes

2. Heat a pressure cooker. Add in ghee


3. Crackle jeera seeds, cardamom and cinnamon

4. Add in soaked rice and fry it keeping in low flame..



5. Add in salt and water..



6. Close the lid and cook for 2 whistle..

7. Once the pressure goes, fluff rice with a fork..

8. Spread it in a plate and allow to cool completely..

9. In a pan add in oil and all veggies one by one..




10. Saute it and add little salt. We have already added salt while cooking rice..


11. Add in garam masala and saute well.. Don't over cook..



12. Now take rice in a vessel with a lid. I used a casserole..


13. Add cooked veggies on top of it... Close it and let it rest..


14. Mix it well before you serve..
