Fish Masala- valentine day dinner ideas

This is my first sea food recipe in my blog. My hubby loves fried fish and I love curry. So when ever I made fried fish, I usually make this gravy. So both of them will have a happy tummy. I need spicy fish and hence I have added a good amount of spices in it. You can reduce the spice amount in your recipe as per your taste.. Here I share with you the recipe...

Do give it a try and do let me know your experience...

Ingredients

Fish-  any white fleshed fish 250 gms
Red chilli powder- 1 tbspn
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Salt- as per taste

For masala..
Onion- 1 chopped
Tomato- 1 chopped
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Fish masala- 1 tsp
Salt- a pinch
Oil- 2 tsp
Curry leaves- 1 spring
Water- 1 cup

Here goes the recipe....

1. Marinate fish with chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and garam masala and let it rest for 15 minutes
2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish pieces.
3. Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves
4. Add in onions and saute well. Then add tomatoes
5. Add in spice powders and add water..
6. Mix well and masala is ready
7. Place fish in the plate and pour the masala only before serving. If you add in masala mix early, fish will absorb water in the masala and turn soggy

Now towards step wise illustrations....

1. Clean and take fish pieces in a bowl

2. Add in chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Marinate well

6. Add in chilli powder turmeric and season with salt

7. Add in water and mix well

8. Let gravy thicken and keep aside

9. Heat oil in a pan

10. Add in marinated fish and fry keeping in low flame

11. Flip and cook. Once both sides fried, keep in a high flame and cook for 2 minutes

12. Flip and cook on high flame
