Pepper Mutton Roast


I had some mutton in hand and wanted to consume it at the eatliest. I was planning to make chappathi for dinner, hence I prefered a dry side dish. This is my version and I was afraid in trying it out, however it came out lovely.. It is a less spicy roast.. You will only need handful of ingredients in trying it out..

Ingredients
Mutton- 500 gms
Fennel seeds- 1 tbspn
Pepper corns- 1 tbspn
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Onion- 1 chopped
Tomato- 1 chopped
Green chilli- 1 thin sliced
Curry leaves- 1 spring
Salt- as per taste
Oil- 1 tbspn
Water- 1/2 cup

Here we go...
1. Take pepper corns and fennel seeds in a blender. Powder it....
2. Take cleaned mutton pieces in a pressure cooker. Add in salt and turmeric and cook for 6 - 8 whistles or until mutton is completely cooked
3. In a pan heat some oil and add curry leaves. Saute onions well
4. Add chopped tomato and green chilli. Mix it up well. 
5. Add in cooked mutton pieces along with the remaining water and bring to boil..
6. Add in garam masala powder
7. Once it dried up add in our masala powder and mix up well..
8. Add in coconut oil and final mix. Serve hot..

Now towards step wise illustrations

Take peppercotns and fennel seeds in s blender and powder it




Take mutton in a pressure cooker and add salt and turmeric powder. Cook well


In a pan heat oil and add curry leaves

Add onions and saute well

Add in green chillies

Add tomatoes and saute till it turns mushy


 Add in mutton pieces with remaining water and mix well

Add in garam masala powder

Add in powdered masala

Mix it up well

Add in coconut oil and final mix
