Banana Appam- Snack ideas
This is an easy snack recipe to can prepare if you have unexpected guests at home. It is pretty easy to make. The main attraction I felt about this snack is that we can experience same flavours as that of an Unniyappam. I tried it once when I had some guests at home and they truly loved it.Here goes the recipe......

Ingredients
Banana- 2 nos
Wheat flour- 1 cup
Coconut- 1/4 cup
Sugar- 1/4 cup
Cardamom powder- 1 tsp
Baking soda- a pinch
Water- 1/4 cup
Oil- for frying
Let's begin...
1. Peel and move bananas to a blender. Puree it
2. Add in cardamom powder and sugar. Add in coconut and mix well
3. Add in wheat flour and baking soda. Mix it up
4. Add in water and make a thick batter
5. Heat oil in a pan and pour in the batter as small balls using a spoon
6. Keeping on low flame cook both sides brown
7. Drain to a kitchen towel and enjoy yummy banana appam...
Now towards step wise illustrations
Take bananas.. I used robusta. You can use small ones as well.. It should be ripe
Peel and chop it
Move it to a blender
Puree it well
Transfer it to a bowl
Add in cardamom powder
Add in sugar
Add in grated coconut
Mix it well
Add in wheat flour
Add in baking soda
Mix it up
Add in water and mix well
Make a thick batter out of it
Heat oil in a kadai and spoon the batter as small balls. Cook both sides
Fry till golden
Enjoy yummy appam
