Restaurant Style- Chicken Varuval
Yes! I love fried recipes. Whether it's snack items or non veg dishes, I love it to the core. Last day, we had dinner from a restaurant nearby, and I love this Chicken Varuval a lot. Usually, when I try out these fried recipes at home I don't get that crispy outer covering. So this time I asked for that tip from them and tried it out in my kitchen and it was just wow!!!!! Everyone loved it and it was a total hit!!!!! So here I share with you the recipe...

Ingredients
Chicken- 250gms
Chilli powder- 3 tbspn
Turmeric- 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Oil- 1 cup
For Marination
Fennel seeds- 1tsp
Cinnamon stick- 2 nos
Garlic pods- 6 nos
Ginger- 1 small piece
Salt- as per taste
Vinegar- 2 tsp
Water- 1 tbspn
Here we go.......
1. Take fennel, cinnamon, garlic and ginger and grind it with a dash of water
2. Marinate chicken pieces with the ground masala and spice powders.
3. Add in vinegar too and let it rest for 3 hours
4. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Put chicken pieces in the oil in high flame for 3 minutes and cook for 10-15 minutes in a low flame.
5. Serve hot
Now towards step wise illustrations
Take fennel seeds and cinnamon stick in a blender
Add in ginger and garlic to it
Puree it with a dash of water
Take chicken pieces in a bowl
Add in ground masala
Add in red chilli powder
Add in turmeric powder
Add in salt
Add in garam masala
Add in vinegar
Marinate it well and let it rest for 3 hours
Heat oil in a pan in high flame for 10 minutes
Drop chicken pieces in high flame. Cook for 3 minutes
Reduce the flame and keep cooking for 10-15 minutes
Flip over and cook both sides
Serve hot with chapathi or rice
